If you are using smartphone then already you have heard about CDMA and GSM network. But you don't know what's  these network are ? These both type SIM  are kind of Mobile Network. In all over the world all mobile phone are mostly based on  these two
networks.

• GSM Network

GSM means Global System for Mobile Communication  and this network is widely used by mobile phone in all over the world and may be you are also using this network in mobile phone.

It is very easy to know that which type of mobile network in my mobile phone CDMA or GSM. If you can use many Company SIM Card in your mobile phone then you are using GSM network. Your mobile is based on GSM network and you cannot use CDMA network for your mobile phone.

•   CDMA Network

CDMA means Code Division Multiple Access is type of network on which you operate your mobile phone. If your mobile phone is based on CDMA then you can use only that Mobile Network Company Sim By which you have bought your mobile phone. Mobile Network Company means the company which gives network facility to your mobile phone like  Airtel , Idea , BSNL , Docomo . CDMA based mobile phone can use only one Mobile Network Company Sim not of other company. And your mobile phone also will be based on only new network i.e. GSM or CDMA but at present time many mobile company are making mobile phone which are  based on both network.
